About the show Cookn' It Wyld Style

The title of the show says it all, Cookn' It Wyld Style.   Larry "Bigfish" Levine, restauranteur, TV host and professional "Wild Man" serves up a television show with all the style of a Sasquatch cooking at Commander's Palace. Larry's unique background in hunting, fishing and gourmet cooking along with his ability to attract world famous celebrities to join him on his outdoor adventures make Cookn' It Wyld Style a unique and fascinating show.

Each show begins with an overview and short history of the area that Larry is visiting. The guest celebrity is profiled with a short background piece and, if the celebrity is a musician, a featured song will be used as music background for the show's introduction segment. The other segments of the show will also be "teased" in this first segment which will always be less than one minute in length. The regular show open is next. This segment will always have the theme music of the show and will always have the same look. This will cue viewers that their weekly adventure with Larry is about to begin.

In the next segment of the show Larry interviews the hunting or fishing guide to give viewers information on both the guiding service and the area that they are visiting. If no guide is necessary, Larry will fill in using his vast knowledge of many areas around the country that are fun to visit. This is a fairly short segment that gives summary information about the geographical location, best times of year to visit and the gear necessary to make the viewer's trip worthwhile.

The "action" segment is the next and probably the most exciting part of the show. If the celebrity is up for it, they will be included in this segment. Larry will always be close to the celebrity and will engage them with his unique and offbeat style. Whether it's fishing or hunting there will be lots of action here. Larry doesn't have time to waste. The kitchen's waiting! The ending of this segment will show the viewers how to clean and prepare the game for cooking. After all, Cookn' It Wyld Style is not just a hunting and fishing show. It's a cooking show too!

Now Larry visits the best restaurant in the area to serve up the wild game that he just harvested. What if the area is too remote for restaurants? No problem! Larry cooks it up himself on his famous portable grills. When he does visit a restaurant, he has the local chef prepare the food. Each step is explained by Larry and the chef so that even the average cook will be able duplicate the dish. Ingredients will be listed graphically on the show and will also be reproduced on Larry's website so that viewers will never miss a step. As the cooking proceeds, Larry describes the restaurant, gets the background of the restaurant from the chef and probably samples bites from the pan while the chef's not looking.

The final segment of the show brings it all together. Larry interviews the guest celebrity to find out what they're up to and gives them a chance to promote their upcoming projects. If the celebrity is a musician their music can be playing in the background. Larry will mention the title of the song at the beginning of the segment. Then it's time to eat! The food is served to everyone at the table with "oohs and aahs" from everyone. There is a short discussion of the delicious meal then Larry closes the show with his signature quote, "Let's eat and I'll see you next week!" The music comes up full and the closing credits roll--another successful adventure with Larry Levine on Cookin' It Wyld Style.
